Robyn Berger, LCSW-C
I consider therapy as life’s “toolbox”. In therapy we discover, as a team, the tools that are most appropriate for creating positive changes and altering perspectives to create a more satisfying experience. While life can be complicated at times, it is often helpful to have an emotional outlet and a listening ear. I will assist you in reducing stress and making daily living more manageable and enjoyable. To accomplish these goals, I will focus on a person’s strengths in order to build a foundation for change and future success.
People enter therapy for many reasons - a few examples are:
- To overcome a life crisis or make a life choice.
- Learn how to better identify, understand, and manage upsetting emotions such as anger, anxiety, or depressed mood.
- To better manage stress.
- Improve communication skills and reduce conflict.
- To navigate life transitions.
- Increase self-esteem and confidence.
- To identify and overcome self destructive or self-sabotaging behaviors
- Work through past abuse or a painful past.
- Self-exploration
My areas of expertise include working with adolescents, families and couples, and working with people who have experienced trauma.
I am certified by the Maryland Board of Social Work as a licensed clinical social worker, certified (LCSW-C). If you are interested in looking at my resume, here is a link.
